| My name is Kelli Smith, I live in
Duncansville, PA, USA. I purchased my first Boxer "Addey"
- JoCar’s American Girl Doll in January, 2008. This flop
eared little girl came to live with me and I had no
plans for her, except as a family companion. After Addey
was about 13 weeks old I entered her in a Puppy
Obedience class. She and I had so much fun! At 6 months
of age Addey and I attended our first dog show to cheer
on one of Addey’s littermates and to see what this “Dog
Show” world was all about. I was hooked after spending
the weekend at the show, I then set out to find handling
classes and getting a show lead and collar. At 7 months
of age Addey and I attended our first show in July 08 in
Virginia. I was very nervous and so was Addey, but we
did it!! Addey and I went to a few more shows and
finally at 8 months of age I did it, Addey won her first
Reserve Win in the States, I will never forget that
feeling of excitement. I was definately hooked after
that. I continued to go to class and show Addey, and I
began to think about the future and expanding with a
Kennel Name and
hopefully a breeding program someday. Addey is my best
friend and goes everywhere with me, I never travel
alone!! I couldn’t have asked for a more special Boxer
then this girl to help me start all of this!! |
